1. I remember when Star Wars came out in 1977. It made such a huge impact on me. I guess the people in this Star Wars party are a bigger enthusiasts than me.

   • My guess is that this crowd (including me) grew up with it since infancy, now that there’s an established fanboy holiday, we’re that much more inclined to dress up as it’s more than just costumes but participation towards a fun celebration based appreciation of these stories and the wonder we felt growing up watching these movies. Plus whoever tells you that they don’t find the idea of going to the bar dressed like a storm trooper fun is lying and probably deals in absolutes.
